Ray Mears shows you how to start a fire in the desert using the friction method. This is similar to the “Bow Drill” method. It is ideal in a situation when you can’t obtain the necessary materials for the “Bow Drill”, like cord or rope, etc. The “Friction” method can take considerable more work than the other methods shown on Ultime BushCraft but it is a good idea to master it all the same.
